At Kustpark Nieuwpoort and in the immediate vicinity of the campsite, there are plenty of activities and outdoor sports for both children and adults to enjoy. As a guest at Kustpark Nieuwpoort, you can take part in various water sports organised on the nearby river IJzer. These include sailing, windsurfing and canoeing.

In the surrounding area, you can take wonderful walking and cycling trips. You can discover the beautiful Belgian coast perfectly on foot during your holiday. Many guests of Kustpark Nieuwpoort take their bikes and make wonderful trips along the Belgian coast and through the polders behind. The outdoor sports on offer on the coast mainly make use of the recreational opportunities offered by the beach and the sea.

Entertainment team

In high season (Belgian school holidays), there is a friendly entertainment team for young and old. Meet the friendly mascot Kasper and join in the fun activities at the Kasper club. The varied programme includes treasure hunts, discos, workshops and various sports and game activities. You can find the programme at reception, so you and the children know what fun activities are on each day.

Water sports on the 'IJzermonding'

Right next to the campsite is a wonderful area to enjoy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, rafting or supping! Enjoy a wonderful day on the water at Nieuwpoort's water sports centre. Of course, you can also enjoy kite surfing or another water sport on the sea. There is plenty to do in Nieuwpoort for true water sports enthusiasts.

Pools in the area

Would you like to go for an indoor swim near our Coastal Park? In Nieuwpoort-Stad is the municipal swimming pool with a 25-metre pool, children's pool with slide and whirlpool. Good tip if the weather is bad one day. There is also Aquafun in Oostduinkerke. A large subtropical swimming paradise of no less than 2,000m² with a wave pool, water flow and exciting slides.

Swimming paradise Plopsaqua

A popular outing with children is Plopsaland but did you know they also have an indoor swimming pool? The many water attractions, slides and pools provide endless fun. Ideal when you don't feel like swimming in salt water for a while.
